Akeeba Backup --> XAMMP error

Post by JAVesey » Sun Nov 19, 2023 4:27 pm

Hi,

Trying to copy my live site (J5.0.0) to XAMMP for OSX using Akeeba Backup (v9.8.3) and kickstart (v8.0.3).

1. /htdocs is empty save for .jpa file, kickstart.php and kickstart.ini
2. database exists and is empty

I go to localhost/kickstart and it starts to run. Th then get this error:

Code: Select all

Cannot open the file (unknown) for reading. This is part #2 of your backup archive which consists of multiple files (files with the same name and extensions .jpa, .j01, .j02…). Please make sure that you have all of these files in the same folder as Kickstart.
Obviously, the .jpa file is a one-part file. There are no .j01, .j02, etc files.

Anyone seen this before and can offer a clue?

TIA

That was an interesting experience and I now have a fully-functioning local site.

Akeeba Backup is very impressive and I'm a convert after decades of taking manual backups :)
