How to export from joomla 4 old website articles and import them to a joomla 5 new website?

So you do not want to update a J4 site to J5 but have a fresh J5 site you want to import the content to?

Try this extension - https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/j2xml/. Install it in both J4 and J5. There doesn't seem to be any available documentation from the JED listing to the developer's site.

the "problem" is that on the new domain website i have already updated to joomla 5 but on the old one that its live its still on joomla 4 and cannot be updated before i finish all the changes on the new one (joomla 5 site). so i want to transfer all the new articles of the live joomla 4 website to the new demo joomla 5 one that i am building.

the developer havent yet put an update for Joomla 5.1 so its better to wait or try it even now?

J2xml on the JED indicates it already works with Joomla 5.x Why would you think otherwise?

The J2XML extension from JED is not compatible with latest joomla version 5.1.0. the before the last joomla update it was working just fine:

when i try to import an article the process its not forwarding and and empty "system-message-container" its appearing!

J 5.1 was released in April. J2XML last update was in December 2023.

i have tried to contact him but he is not responding! maybe its the end of the extension ? is there any other tool that can export and import articles?

J2XML extension not working on the Joomla 5.1.0 and the extension developer not answering any questions the last 3 months. The way to archive it right now its do it manually hand by hand until there is an update or the extension will be set off the JED.
