Breezing Forms / Crosstec => GONE?

Post by miamiman » Mon Sep 09, 2024 2:43 pm

Is the Crosstec website, home of the extension Breezing Forms, down?

Or is this a case of the developers abandoning the extension?

In any case, it'd be courteous to leave a message for their clients.

I checked their website and it appears to be down.
I do not have any info about if the company/developer is still active.

Their JED listings seem to have gone as well (and not in Abandoned Extensions).

Crosstec made more than just the contact form, I believe they had an E-Commerce extension and several others.

Unfortunately, it seems they have abandoned everything. Their forum and support stoped working since the end of last year. They did not answer their emails for support or questions.

It is a pity, because Crosstec made some of the best products around and with the best return of functionality/price.

They are not the only ones, some pretty good and known extensions also got abandoned in 2023-2024, or sold and milked before dumbing.

Hi, I found this URL :
https://www.breezingforms.eddy-vh.com/n ... mla-4-et-5

It's a French site, but using Chrome and using it"s translation options) you can translate the page in English.
Good luck,
Kompas. I was a fan too of BF.

Yes, looks like someone has 'forked' the extension (or was using it for their own purpose but decided to make it public).

Yes, it's concerning when firms abandon their extensions. I now make sure to contact the developers to get a sense of their commitment.
