JCE Mediabox - no label numbers Topic is solved

Hi there,

I'm in the process of adding JCE Mediabox to my site.

It works, beside showing the label numbers under the pictures of a group.
Instead, is display the variable PLG_SYSTEM_JCEMEDIABOX_LABEL_NUMBERS

Checked all options and also uninstall and reinstalled it without any change.

Any idea?

Btw. using latest version of Joomla, JCE, etc. with Cassiopeia

What language are you using in the backend? Switch to en-GB language and see if it makes a difference.

Hi mtgg,

switching from de-DE to en-GB language fix the issue.

Where and how can I do modifications, that it will work with de-DE?
It's just cosmetic, but I would prefer to stay with German.

You're right that it's just cosmetic but you have a workaround. You may be able to create a language override or make your own German translation of the English language file.

Contact the author of JCE MediaBox and ask about German language support: https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum. You will have to pay to buy the JCE Pro Subscription to use their forum.

After looking into the script.php of the plugin, I found the solution.

Deleting the files 'administrator/language/de-DE/de-DE.plg_system_jcemediabox.ini' and 'administrator/language/de-DE/de-DE.plg_system_jcemediabox.sys.ini' fixed it.
These files are leftovers of older versions of the plugin.

Are you using paid version of JCE (editor)? Perhaps report the issue to the JCE developer (who also created JCE MediaBox). There is a "contact administrator" link. Perhaps use that rather than having to sign up and post to their forum.

The problem might come back if an updated JCE MEdia box still contains those old lines.

Hi Murray,
I'm not using the paid version. Therefor, I do not have access to their forum.

The installation script checks if these obsolete files are exists in the en-GB folder and deletes them, but do not check for other language folders.

I will check for the developer's contact and give him a heads-up.
