Alternative to EasyBlog

I have received a few emails with the message, "This topic has received a reply by John15670 since your last visit," however I do not see anything added since the last post by darb on Mar 14, and when I search for a user by the name of John15670 he doesn't exist.
What am I missing?

Hello,
At the moment my Easyblog site is still working fine, but I am already investigating how I can migrate. I have decided to switch to 'normal' Joomla Core content articles..
I have done a test to convert my Easyblog articles to Joomla articles via RSBlog. That worked well.
But, the source code of my Joomla articles is still full of EB classes. So I will have to remove them, but how?
Can I do something like that automatically with the JCE editor, or are there perhaps other smarter plug-ins?

Another experience.
Easyblog comments are not converted by RSBlog. I have found the following 'trick'. I have installed the JComment module and activated it in Easyblog. The original EB editor can then be turned off and Easyblog works with JComment. The same JComment component also works on the converted Joomla articles. The comments in JComment are then also visible there.
But there is also a problem there. The comments are indeed available in the Joomla Core environment of JComment, but the link with the original post/articles has been lost. In Jcomment I also see no possibility to relink those articles.
Does anyone have an idea how I could restore that link?
