Thanks, team. I updated several (eight or nine) sites today with absolutely zero issues. Probably one of the easiest updates ever. 8)

Apologies for breaking string of successful upgrade reports.

Shared hosting Joomla user since 2015, successfully applying all updates as released. Updated single website from 3.9.3 to 3.9.4, and subsequent attempt to access website takes me to public_html directory listing instead of home (landing) page. Issue disappears when version 3.9.3 is restored. No third party plugins. Any ideas as to cause?

Database client version: libmysql - 5.1.73
PHP version: 7.2.7

You have an unsecure server. Directory listings should be turned off. Is the index.php file missing?

index.php file is present in the public_html directory, directory listing is turned off in .htaccess file and ssl is forced in .htaccess file. Are you suggesting something is awry at the shared server level?

SSL can be forced in Joomla's Global Configuration. No need for altering .htaccess
Is htaccess.txt the template for your .htaccess file?

Yes, htaccess.txt is the template for the .htaccess file. BTW, thank you for the replies.
