It might be nice to see what version of Joomla (or updated extensions) one updated from—that may be asking the impossible—but this is positive step forward.

Updated the last of my J! websites to 3.9.21 today. Aside from the welcome change I mentioned earlier, nothing else of consequence occurs. There are a couple of issues relating to security matters (one of which is discussed here viewtopic.php?f=710&t=981729, for those who use SVG images) but mostly these things are taken care of without having to do anything extra. Thanks.

I actually think it should be rather easy since we now where the actual version is stored or are stored (for older versions) So me think it should be just (?) another call to the version file(s) to scan for the present installed version and present it in the logs

Maybe a post on issues.joomla.org would be helpful?
