I just did a couple of sites and they're fine. No crashing or any other issues found.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.9.24
I usually read these release discussions for one purpose ... to learn from the experiences of other people when they're updating their J! CMS software. Once or twice I've discovered something myself and I've used these kinds of topics to share my own experience. However there hasn't been much to learn lately.
[ redacted ]
For what it's worth, I've updated all my websites to J! 3.9.24 and they still work ... and that's about all I can say.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.9.24
I spent half an hour writing a couple of hundred words to *discuss* my thoughts about J! 3.9.24 in the context of J! 3.x and several paragraphs were removed. I did not write anything "off-topic" and the redaction seems to have been done only because someone didn't like something I wrote. Why can't we discuss J! 3.9.24?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.9.24
Sorry, to hear that. However, this topic is meant to discuss about the Joomla 3.9.24 release.sozzled wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 8:53 pmI spent half an hour writing a couple of hundred words to *discuss* my thoughts about J! 3.9.24 in the context of J! 3.x and several paragraphs were removed. And as you wrote it's indeed "to learn from the experiences of other people when they're updating their J! CMS software".
If you want to discuss about the 3.9.x roadmap, etc, please open a new topic,
Thanks!

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.9.24
I wanted to discuss J! 3.9.24 in the context of its strategic relevance to the J! project. There is no point in discussing the J! roadmap—anywhere on this forum; I did not even mention the J! roadmap in the now-redacted earlier post. What I wrote before was on-topic in relation to J! 3.9.24 but we won't know what I wrote, will we? Thanks, @pe7er, (and two others who have written to me privately) for writing "sorry to hear". I think that in the circumstances, however, I will reduce my further contributions to this forum to a trickle because it's just not worth the trouble any more.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.9.24
I always read this Discuss the release-topic before I do the upgrade. If I am decently early, I also add my result even if it's only All workded well. Or there are findings which put me on hold, or possibly something I can add something to.
Sure I'm curious what from sozzled that was omitted from this topic. If the omission was correct or wrong, I obviously cannot comment.
It happens relatively often I get an e-mail notification that there is a new response to a topic where I have commented, for example in those release-related topics. But often there is no new comment when I look for them. I have assumed it is because those comments are considered as eg spam. And sometimes the new comment has been moved to another or new topic. That part of a comment has been deleted and not moved to another or new topic and a part of the comment has been kept, was a new variant to me.
And well, my update of three sites seems to have worked well; from 3.9.23 to 3.9.24.
Best wishes to all for work and comments with Joomla Forum! And yeah, of course to all who contributes to Joomla.
