Joomla comes with pre-tested files from specific versions of external libraries.
If you modify any of these core files, make sure to mention it if you run any problems.

Typicaly the answer to your question is that updates to external libraries are not made in patch releases so you would need to wait until Joomla 5.2

Of course there are exceptions to this if there is a security update in the external library - but that is not the case with Bootstrap
