A localhost site hosted in Wampserver and several remote sites updated smoothly to Joomla 5.1.2. Thanks you, all the developers and other volunteers involved in the release!

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.1.2
I updated 4 production sites, no issues. However, I am running copies of these sites on my localhost, MacOS, mysql 8.0, php 8.2.0.
Today I updated these 4 local sites from 5.1.1 to 5.1.2. On my mac, I am also running "Little Snitch" network monitor. Before 5.1.2, when local site wanted to check for extension updates, I would get a popup from Little Snitch saying iTerm via Httpd wants to connect to xxx.org or xxx.com (whaterver the extension update site is.) At that time, I just press the allow button, and that was the end of it.
But after update to 5.1.2, I am getting these popups all day long. The only difference is by the time the popup appears, the process that triggered the popup has terminated. I can then chose to allow for 1 minute or up to 1 day, but I have no idea why these processes that do the update checks keep ending immediately and not waiting for access.
Is there anyway I can just have the admin extension updates panel check for updates when I ask it to, rather than checking all day an night. I might add, I am on satellite, and a latency issue might add to this behavior.
thanks.
