Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.1
Been a while since I installed on a live server so took me a while. But installed on a live site to see if the permissions problem had been fixed. Yes that installs smoothly now.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.1
I've also updated, but I still get SQL Big Selects error (but as before with this error, sites works as normal). I have on my To do list to go back and review that bug report incl solution that for some reason not works for my sites to full extent, but acceptable.Per Yngve Berg wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 6:15 pm Updated, and for the first time I did not get the MySQL Big Selects Error.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.1
updated on 3 sites. same and only issue so far in the backend. when i want to select the menu item type the list in the modal window is not visible. this works correctly on Edge browser.
Using Chrome the iframe is shift far left , making the list not visible. i have no clue why joomla is adding a style "left:-10000px position:absolute" at rendering the view when using Chrome.
Can someone test and report please?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.1
you can report that on Github yourself : https://issues.joomla.org where the developers will more likely see the issue than the forum here.
Personally I haven't noticed the issue you are reporting (and am a full-time user of Chrome, not Edge).

Today on another computer (laptop) i don't have the isssue. So i will investigate when i'm home. Perhaps it's an Admin Template issue when it runs on 4K monitors.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.1
Excited for Joomla 5.2.1 – Great Work, Team!
Great to see Joomla 5.2.1 released! It’s always exciting when new updates come out, especially with all the enhancements and fixes that improve both performance and security. I’m particularly looking forward to the latest improvements in the user interface and any changes to the backend that make managing sites easier.
Could anyone provide more details on the key features or fixes in this update? I'm especially interested in any updates related to security, as it's always a priority.
Also, are there any major compatibility changes that users should be aware of when upgrading from previous versions?
Thanks again to the Joomla team for their hard work!

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.1
Joomla 5.2.0 had an issue with the folder/file permissions.wagamamasmenu wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 12:15 pmCould anyone provide more details on the key features or fixes in this update? I'm especially interested in any updates related to security, as it's always a priority.
If you upgraded Joomla 4.4.x to 5.2.x, then your system retained their previous folder/file permissions, so you won't have any issues.
Joomla 5.2.1 has the correct permissions for new installations (nothing else changed)
Joomla 5.2.2 will be released soon, and beside other fixes, it will fix faulty permissions if you had installed 5.2.0.
