Can someone tell me and explain why some long time important issues not get merged!! This is a very important fix for Joomla people [5.2] Catch exception to get the user in the action log model #44358 https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/44358

Why have this issue not been merged at this time??

Because nobody tested the patch before 5.2.1 RC was released. Now it will go into 5.2.2. Also it's the wrong fix for the issue.

The second human test for this PR came in too late to include it in Joomla 5.2.2,
which was already scheduled and released earlier today, just 2.5 hours ago.

Remote sites and a local Joomla 5.2.1 site updated without any issues. Thanks to the developers, testers and the release team involved!

Interesting to see how the latest version of Kunena, 6.3.6, refused to be updated until the website had Joomla 5.2.2: "Joomla! 5.2.1 is not supported. Minimum required version is Joomla! 5.2.2, but it is highly recommended to use Joomla! 5.2.2 or later."

Off-topic: I had no difficulty updating Kunena 6.3.6 --> 6.3.7 on Joomla 4.4.9.

See Kunena GitHub for more information: https://github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/ ... script.php (lines 43 and lines 87-92).

"Also it's the wrong fix for the issue." What you mean? It is not the wrong fix for the issue!

People are left on old Joomla versions bcs of this and I know.. you dont.
