Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.5
I have made 2 clean installations, one with version 5.2.4 (which I later updated manually with the update package) and another with version 5.2.5, and when I compare the files of the 2 installations, I get this difference in the ‘configuration.php’ file (see attachment).
I don't know how important it is, but I assume that the ‘$frontediting=1’ parameter should have been added as well, isn't it?
Thanks in advance.

That value in configuration.php is set in Global Configuration > "Site" tab > "Frontend Editing".
When you click the "Toggle Inline Help" button on the top right, Joomla explains what it does:
I usually switch it off because I rarely edit on the front end.Joomla can show an overlay in the public front–end, visible only to users with edit privileges, to directly modify the configuration of each module and/or menu displayed on the site. Set to "None" to disable this feature.
I prefer working in the admin backend of my website.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.5
Hello pe7er,
Thanks for the welcome and the explanation.
I also prefer to work from the backend
, but what I really wanted to convey with my message was not the functionality itself, but the fact that a parameter (in this case it was the “frontediting” but it could be another one in another update) had not been added.
I mean, the way I understand it, is that if I install version 5.2.4 and then upgrade to 5.2.5, the result (directory structure, files, database, etc) should be the same as if I directly install 5.2.5. Shouldn't it be so?

Yes, that's correct. If you upgrade to a higher version, the Joomla installer will take care of the changed files and changes in the database.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 5.2.5
That's what I meant, that a parameter that has been added when generating the configuration.php file during installation of version 5.2.5, this parameter is not added to the existing configuration.php if you upgrade from previous versions.
I have seen in the code that it does not crash because when this parameter is queried, a default value is assigned if the parameter does not exist, but I think for consistency any new parameter should be added to previous versions that are upgraded, not just new installations.
What do you think, should I report it as a bug?
