Local and remote 4.3.4 sites updated to 4.4.0 smoothly. Thank you to the teams and individuals involved in the development, testing and release of the new version!

You are safe to do live sites, because the Joomla Project REMOVED the update stream bug at approx 00:00 UTC this morning.
This also disables the "reinstall core files" feature in Joomla 4.4.0 to prevent the issue

Upgrade depletes MAX_JOIN_SIZE in the database.
It's set to 67000.
