Here you can discuss about the release of Joomla 3.5 Beta 5 (Beta = only for testing, not for production websites)

Hello,

The team needs to improve their communication when summarizing what's new and improved, for the average user. I get the impression these are all minor updates, judging solely from the Joomla announcement articles.

Doesn't do justice to the work actually accomplished IMO.

Just a remark.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand your point.
However, the Beta & RC versions are targeted at more technical users & for developers of extensions.

When Joomla 3.5 stable will be released, there will be a landing page with information about the new features & improvements. Just like with the 3.4 release: https://www.joomla.org/3/en/

If anyone wants to test the beta
  1. Make a copy of your site
  2. Use the copy to create your site on localhost
  3. With the Copy in Joomla Admin >>> Components >>> Joomla Update >>> Options .. set the Update channel to 'Test'
You can now test updating the Copy of your site to Joomla 3.5

The mark above by Webdongle is valid for all pre-stable packages. Never install or test a Beta or RC-package on a live site
