Hi

i have the same problem like andrewl search.php?author_id=781964&sr=posts.
I updated different sites yesterday. So far everythings worked fine.
But just one site there is something wrong with the menu and the content of the articles. blank pages.
Re-linking an article to the menu solves the problem for the first clicks. But the content of the site disappears again.
I have fixed the database and cleared the cache already.
Any ideas?

OK, it's an extension problem. The extension said to work with 3.7 causes the problem I described.

I can revert to the version compatible with Joomla 3.6.5 and things were better but I then ran into the problem described by jkrokar above in that any re-arrangement of the featured article ordering was not saved. Well it wasn't saved on the live site, but was on the test site running under WAMP on my PC. With a bit more research I now see different resulted from different versions of PHP. I was running 7.1 on the live site and 7.0 on WAMP. Changing the live site to 7.0 is now saving the new featured article ordering properly.

The developer says the extension compatible with 3.6.5 shouldn't really be run on Joomla 3.7 but if the 3.7 version doesn't work I have little option.

It's frustrating that every time Joomla gets updated that there always seems to be some issue with an extension not working properly with the latest version of Joomla.

I'll follow up with the developer of the extension.

First of all, new Joomla works much faster, thanks!

After upgrade I run to problem with reordering articles on front page. After reorder, new order is not saved! So, it doesn't work anymore.

I had a similar problem on a site running under PHP 7.1

My test site was running under 7.0 and was saving the new ordering OK. I changed the live site PHP version to 7.0 and the new ordering was saved properly on the live site

About disappearing content:
OK, it's an extension problem.
But which extension?

EDIT: I started disabling/uninstalling extensions, and had a hit early on: JSN PowerAdmin

CW Multicats - it is an extension I have used for years and am very pleased with. Every so often though, usually when Joomla updates, there are a few hiccups.

Thanks jedlad. I don't have that. And about JSN PowerAdmin: Uninstalling only fixed it for a short time, contents are gone again now.

I could solve the problem by disabling the cache in the global configuration!

I have the restored page back to Joomla 2.6.5

Joomla 3.7.0, Update Now!
All extensions are updated.
Backup is up to date

Someone who can help
Did you test with backend "Manage" --> Database --> Fix?

Did that help you pls confirm?

also check your extensions and template so they are compatible with Joomla 3.7
Backend --> Database --> Database table structure is up to date.

Extensions --> OK

How can I check the template and what are the requirements for the temple from Joomla 2.6.5 to 3.7.0 ?

It is a cache problem, already in the issue tracker. Will be fixed in 3.7.1 (fix is already there, but will be contained in 3.7.1).

For this issue you can ask the creator of this plugin. Maybe wants to update it.
