Hi Leo,

thansk for the update, and sorry for assuming you would bring fake news.

I was confused by your post and not getting any news.

Maybe I should learn to be more patient.

I try my best, but sometimes I fail.

With over 36.000 support requests in our business operations over 14 years of Joomla (and before that Mambo) we are super professional and would not dare to bring our company in jeopardy with fake info to our extensive userbase we support daily and have supported in the past (you will find numbers on our site). I have been a member of the Joomla Bug Squad and the Joomla CMS Release Team and are active and hopefully be active in a non-tech role shortly to support the project with my knowledge and give back once again... Thanks to Joomla my daughters are studying at universities around the world and we can pay our food and healthcare to mention a few.... So yes I am very careful to confuse or insult this community since you are all so important to us!

@Richard67 please PMB me first before getting to conclusions on me trolling? I did see your retraction sort of but it should not have happened (as my premature message should not have happened). Next time 'troll me in pmb" befor making public assumptions pls?

I can only call for more people to support the project in the Joomla Bug Squad, documentation, testing etc etc....We are all volunteers and we need to make Joomla 4.0 the best ever release (and it will be!) of it's existence. Help and get this done. Start here: https://volunteers.joomla.org/teams/bug-squad

For the good news: We updated hundreds of sites through our (commercial) services and have not encountered any further issues with Joomla 3.9.11

One question here is: Is Joomla 3.9.11 MySQL 8 compatible now? https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_and_MySQL_8

Well, the issue with wrong errors shown by the db fixer is solved.

But there are some issues remaining, all of them related to invalid date values "0000-00-00 00:00:00".

We (me and a few others) are working on that.

I am not an official speaker for the project or the release, and I have not tested much on MySQL 8, so please don't expect some kind of confirmation from me. All I can say is we are working on it, but right now there are still issues on MySQL 8. Those datetime problems are not really caused by 8, they started with 5.7 but have been hidden by switching off strict tables mode. I am optimistic that when 4.0 will go Beta we have fixed that, but you never know what happens, each of us can be hit by a bus tomorrow.
