Hi Rey,

I'll help you out. But I might arrive at your booth around 14:00 since I probably be with some friends.

By the way, why is it that UP has its own SFD celebrationl? On August 28, I think.

See you on September 10!

Rey, i can help you - since ako ata ang nearest neighbor mo within a 2Km-radius - just get in touch with me. I'll leave you my contact numbers as a pm.

How big is the booth? Do you need tarpaulin banners? I can do the design and can ask friends for a discounted print price.

Succesfull - Software Freedom Day 2005

Post by joomla-ph » Tue Sep 13, 2005 4:52 am

Good day!

Natatawa lang ako sa mga Computer Engineering students ng PUP which is also our audience  ;D, dahil ung iba wlang alam tlaga totally sa programming. Yung iba lang ha... :D

Sana mas lalong masaya ang SFD next year....

Sir Rey, QuickSync, Shereyll, maraming salamat!!! isa tayo sa dahilan bakit naging succesfull ang SFD...

Keep up the good work and God bless us all!!!

Ei Arman! Last friday was fun in spite of the sweltering heat. Grabe, init non, ano?

I was thrilled meeting you guys. You were nice, cool, and very friendly. I usually get shy and don't talk much in gatherings. But with your warm welcome guys, you made  me laugh loud. Loud, mi gad, that was embarrassing, but fun  ;D

I'm now looking forward to meet the rest of the gung ho ph-joomla users.

Hi Alf! Hi Rey!

Thats a relief I thought it might have been my BO or something  :P

Seriously I'd like to thank
- Alf [quicksync]
- Arman [joomla_ph]
- shereyll [shereyll]
for their help

It was a great experience for me and I had a lot of fun, even if I was very unprepared, suffering from a lack of sleep and debilitated by the heat.

I will post an article on joomla.org about the event, once I have finished my work on 1.0  ;)

However, i would just like to say that in these kind of events, the thing I cherish most is the opportunity to meet users & contributors in person.  Hopefully we can organize more opportunities for people to come together meet, exchange idea, and have a good time together.

I agree to that rey. Why not set a date so that philippine joomla! community can meet and organize the first philippine joomla! users? And (you) be the first president lol  ;)

Oh, so you think of yourself at that time as "very unprepared." Hmmm... I wonder how fast you could answer each question when you're prepared.  :D

Wait a sec, are you trying to be modest or just pulling our listless leg here?  >:(

I take prepared as having a lesson plan.
Lesson topics.
Questions (and answers) prepared to ask participants.
Better resources (instead of just my laptop)
Material to handout,etc
;)

In a former life I actually studied to become a high school teacher, but decided it wasnt quite for me  ;)

And I will admit that I was also a bit nervous :-[ and when I get nervous  I tend to talk pretty fast  :P
