Dear All,
At the moment we have our website in the US and we would like to move the Chinese version to China. I made a bit of a research and I know about the licensing issues, but I am not sure which hosting company should we go with.
Any suggestions/ experiences are welcome.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
S

Re: Shared Hosting inside China
The biggest hosting company is www.net.cn(万网in Chinese), it was marked by stability, security and fast but it's more expensive than others in China. Many company website chosen it.
As we knew, it needs "BeiAn" before access the website when you move website to China.

Thank you for your reply sheng_smith. It might be a stupid question, but is the 'BeiAn' the licence what we would need? If so, then how and where can we apply and what documents would we need? Would the website need to be ready to be reviewed? The site is a commercial site, nothing to do with politics or anything that would be restricted.
Thanks,
S

For "BeiAn":
The most important and the most difficult is to got one license from the industry and commerce administration authorities of China(www.saic.gov.cn) as follow:
Business License For Individual Industrial and Commercial Household
or
Business License For Enterprise's Legal Person
When get it, you can ask the hosting company help you to do it.
hope this can help you

There are many hosting company which can offer hosting for you now. The bigger regulation is that, now china government requires you to handin your ID or company information to gain a domain and host your website.
