What make up community and teams - people!  People of all shapes and sizes and when you stop listening you are working for nothing.  When you don't have the support of people you are working for yourself and that's not what Open Source is all about.  It's more than just free code.  It's about giving freely to help others without expecting anything in return.

I am very thankful for the team that I am involved with, and also the community that has grown around the project.  You really are the best community a development team could ask for.

Thanks and a big group hug.
Awww. Isn't that sweet?

Now, get back to work, codejockey!

I didn't hear about everything until I checked my feedreader yesterday...

Keep plugging away guys. I hope to have another beta of the podcasting component (with iTunes support) within the next couple of weeks. I also want to get back to the programming tutorials as well. This project has been very rewarding to be a part of, and I hope it stays that way.

Well, I gotta give my thanks as well. I have only been using Mambo for about 6-8 months, but it is a great product and I am trying to use it everywhere I can. Can't really say I fully understand about the split, but it seems to me that if the developers can stick together over something like this then they must really believe in the product. If they believe in it, it makes it a lot easier for others.

I wish you all the best and my only wish is that all the users hear about this so they can make their own decision about where to go (and make the obvious choice  ::) )

Thanks again.

To Devteam ...

Mambo is nothing without a community behind it.

Thanks folks for keeping it real ...  ;)

jlleblanc, your Podcasting component shows so much promise. Integrating it with iTunes support is a master stoke. More power to you.

All the best.

Thanks to the dev team for their great work, I'm a little confused how this will go on now. But it's the community that made me like mambo and I can see a lot of familiar names around here, so I feel at home already :)

My full support to the dev team,

Haven't been around in awhile. But I wish the development team the best. What you did was a difficult decision but it was the right decision. Cudos.

My first taste of this great CMS was when I was asked by a friend to do a site for a political action group. The more I dug into it the more fun I had. It became more of a hobby and a way to give to the community. I enjoyed every foray into the source and had a blast with the few CMTs I did.

And that brings me to this final thought. To the community in general - have fun with it. I did and it was a great ride. Perhaps it's time for me to get back on board and give a little more to the community. I'll be around to contribute wherever needed.

Long live the greatest CMS in the history of the web.

You have our support 100% of the way. The core dev team has maintained incredible professionalism despite how you've been treated.

Count up another registered member on the core dev/OSM roster! Keep up the good fight.  :)

It's very exciting to be involved with this project and community right now. I have no doubt that this shake up and the opportunities it presents will bring many wonderful and unexpected results.

Why is it every time I get off the forums for a bit, something dramatic happens??  In any case, thanks Rey and team for all of your hard work.  I've been around Mambo since 4.0.1, and given a bit back to the community in minor hacks and wry commentary.  Sad to see the split, but easy to see where I'll be putting my support in the future.  Here's looking forward to more great work and an even better CMS.
