THANK YOU ALL!!
To those that have shown their support so far and those that will, I (though I am sure I speak for the others) THANK YOU so very much.
This project is more than about just a piece of software, it is about COMMUNITY and the reason Open Soure Matters, because it is about helping others.
It is about the global neighbourhood and signifies how all of us are neighbours and that the way forward is by helping our/your neighbours.
The latest events are painful, saddening and heart wrenching, but in the end nothing can stop people from wanting to help others.

You're very welcome Rey... Do feel free to call on me anytime
And yes, it is saddening this had to happen, particularly the way it did. But... You guys did good, and did it well.
My only real concern at thsi point is for the untold number of not very active mambo users that may not really discover/understand what's happening until they are trapped in the Miro machine

If only the rest of life was as simple as this silly power struggle appears...a comedy of errors. I'm really glad to see the dev team popping in and out of these channels of discussion. Cheers to you, Rey.

Thanks for the Filipino forum, Stingrey. And to the core development team, thanks for giving us hope. For a while there I thought I was lost (I depend on Mambo for a lot of "quickie" projects).
I can't wait for the beta version to come out ... and playing with the CSS styles ... and f*cking up my database again ... and asking the forum members to help me fix it ... and getting a reply to search the forum first before asking another stupid question

Thank You Team for a Brave Step!
Thank you Core Members for truly advocating Free and Open Source Software. The other mambo user may not have completely understood the philosophy and the value of community. As for us who are here, I believe we are here to back the team who contributed much of their time and effort.
We are here to help wherever we can. Mabuhay!

Re: THANK YOU ALL!!
Rey -
The core team has been one of the best open source project teams I've ever worked with and obviously the whole community feels the same way I do. You guys have been working hard on a fantastic project and it's not at all surprising that the community will follow you wherever you go.
For the past 2 years, Mambo has had 2 things that most projects of this type don't have: Community and a great core team that is a part of that community. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing this split changes is the name of a great project and community. Let miro have the Mambo name - they'll never be able to duplicate the team and the community.
Cheers,
Gil Rutkowski

Re: THANK YOU ALL!!
Your and the rest of the dev team's efforts are well appreciated. Your efforts have made developing sites much, much easier.
But, once again, reality strikes. What once was good has come to an end. But, it only means, I would hope, the death of one is simply the beginning of something just as good if not BETTER!!! Afterall, it is the same people who developed the former that will be developing the future, right? So, what's to worry about?
I guess this is where I stop talking and actually see where I can help. {I don't have much, but... where's my wallet? hmmm... it's somewhere around here. I'll be right back.}

Well,
I finally moved over after hours spent reading this awful thread.
Now I'm here and I'm here to stay!
Thanks to the developers for everything they've done for $ambo.
As someone else stated before:
If there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to call!

Re: THANK YOU ALL!!
I agree, as someone above stated how they were afraid of the future of this product. Mambo (in its open-sourcedness) turned me on to other opensource products, I've since switched to Firefox/Thunderbird, and I do all my product searches FIRST for open-source!!! Let's hear it for the dev team!

You devs are a model for the rest of us. Thank you for standing up to a company trying to make a quick buck on the hard work of so many. My company intranet is currently running on Mambo and I will be switching over just as soon as you release your CMS. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

It took a great deal of courage on the part of the Core Team to make this move; further, it took a great deal of coordination to get everybody to agree to a statement and a course of action.
As if I didn't already, I have a newfound admiration for each and every member of the Core Team.

Thank you Core Team for taking a bold step to keep us a community!!!. That's why I'm here as standing up for one's community is always worth it as far too often we stand on the sides. We have something that is great in the world of OS & let's fight the noble path to retain our friends & the product that so many have gone the extra mile for all of us!!!
Thanks again & cheers to freedom at last :)

Re: THANK YOU ALL!!
Although I am shocked by the turn of the events between the Core Team and Miro, the split had to be done. The Core Team are the ones that should take all the credit from the numerous awards Mambo has recieved. We're all behind you!
THE DEVELOPERS are what makes the product function well.
Just wait til "their" next product comes out, that's when they'll be wanting the old developers back!
You guys rock!

Re: THANK YOU ALL!!
I for one and absolutlely overwhelmed by the support that we had received. The Dev team has pulled together like never before and the community has been...well...words can't really express it can team. Open Source is about community and team work.
What make up community and teams - people! People of all shapes and sizes and when you stop listening you are working for nothing. When you don't have the support of people you are working for yourself and that's not what Open Source is all about. It's more than just free code. It's about giving freely to help others without expecting anything in return.
I am very thankful for the team that I am involved with, and also the community that has grown around the project. You really are the best community a development team could ask for.
Thanks and a big group hug.
