How to remove <Prev Next> in Blog Content articles
When displaying full articles from Section/Categories in the menu, is there a way to display the article without having
"<Prev 1 2 3 Next>"
at the bottom where the links navigate to the other articles from that same Section/Category? Similiar to static content items, but with a blog menu or table menu where they can all be grouped together in a similiar category basically. I would like to make it so that each article in its full entirety isn't linked directly to another. I have not been able to find anything on it so far, if there is something then can someone give me the forum link.
If this doesn't entirely make sense, I would give the comparison where if you're using wordpress, and you navigate to a specific blog entry, it only contains the content for that entry and not anything else (except maybel the permalink, which I don't need).
Sincerely,
Self -X- <-- having a n00b moment

I know it doesn't sound like a big problem, but I still can't figure it out.
Anyone?

Just open the menu in question, then edit the particular menu item. You will see the Parameters in the right-hand column.
About halfway down, find "Pagination Results" and select "Hide".

Hi Klementz
Is there a way to turn "off" or "on" next prev globally?
Thanks

Also I just noticed, for regular articles (not blogs) the parameter you apparently have to turn off is called "Show Navigation". If I don't want the next prev to show you make sure it's turned OFF.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

No, I don't think there is a way to do that, but I could be wrong: On the Content tab in Global Configuration, there is an item called "Content Item Navigation" [show/hide], but if that is it, then it is inconsistent with the choice at menu level ("Pagination"). Could be it, though so give it a try.Rowby wrote:Hi Klementz

Do you mean for a "Link - Content Item" type menu item? It doesn't have any parameter like that. Or, what type of menu item are you talking about, exactly?Rowby wrote:Also I just noticed, for regular articles (not blogs) the parameter you apparently have to turn off is called "Show Navigation". To remove the start prev and next navigation at the bottom of your pages in Joomla 1.7.
1) log into the the administrator.
2) Hover over Content, then click on Article Manager.
3) Click on the Options icon to the upper right. A shadow box should appear defaulting to Articles tab.
4) Find "Show Navigation" and select Hide.
5) Save & Close and refresh your front-end.
All should be good now.

Telling him how to do it in J1.7, will not help him to do this in J1.0.
Another matter is that J1.0 is reached "end of life" and an upgrade should be considered.

Yes, but this is the J1.0 forum. You have to post in the J1.7 forum, where you reach your audience.

Re: How to remove <Prev Next> in Blog Content articles
I looked for the question in the 1.7 forum. It wasn't there. Also didn't see a way (or the point) of starting a new thread. The "audience" will find the answer by asking the same question I did and this forum will show up for them just like it did for me. If it bothers you that much, you're welcome to post it there as well.

Re: How to remove <Prev Next> in Blog Content articles
Hello everyone,
I have also run into a problem with pagination. Except the other way around. I cannot add this pagination thing. At least not as everyone seems to manage flawlessly. I have a prev and a next button, but the pages "1 2 3 4 5" don't show.
And yes, I am having this problem with Joomla 1.7.3. Sorry, wrong category, but others may benefit also, no matter in what category the answer can be found.
I have reached a point where I am more than willing to pay someone to get this mystery solved. I have already lost ten days looking for the answer.
Thank you
Regards

I just want to add, yes, I have already followed the instructions here, but instead of course enabled all pagination options.

Re: How to remove <Prev Next> in Blog Content articles
Just incase anybody is looking for a similar solution, in Joomla 1.7:
Login to your Administrator section > Content > Article Manager > click on "options" > Article's Tab > Show Navigation = hide
There's a ton of features there, you can turn it off. I was searching for a similar solution a while back to turn off prev and next.
Good luck!

Re: How to remove <Prev Next> in Blog Content articles
To remove the Joomla 2.5 (likely works on 1.7 as well) next and previous links in an article globally, go to Article Manager, click on the article options, click the articles tab at the top of the article options page, find "Show Navigation" in the second block of options and select hide.
This worked for me
