I don't have an answer, but I know know how to get one.

Search this forum for posts by someone who is knowledgeable and helpful. Send a PM to that person and ask them to help you.

Good luck.

Hi...

- Open your Xmap component.
- Click Options - Preferences.
- Look at Sitemap URL's box and then Copy 'URL Address' from XML Sitemap to your Google WebMaster tool page.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi comapping_1177...

That site is good BUT has limited for only 500 URL in our site. So if you have site with over 500 URL then your Sitemap generated Not Complete (from that site)
I recommend use Sitemap extensions, that is better way.

Regards. :)

Hi,
Where do I find "- Click Options - Preferences." coz when I open Xmap I was suggested that I should publish some plugins which I did, then I created a new sitemap. After creating one I got two options next to it [XML Sitemap] [News Sitemap] and on clicking [XML Sitemap] I copied and pasted it in Google's webmaster tools which was fine.
However I still feel that am missing something as the URL to my sitemap should read something like "www[dot]example[dot]com/sitemap.xml" whereas mine is "index.php?option=com_xmap&view=xml&tmpl=component&id=1"
Please Guide me. Thanks in advnce :)
