[SOLVED] 'No posts exist inside this topic for the selected

Post by scooternh » Fri Mar 06, 2009 7:12 pm

I'm getting this error message after clicking on some (many) forum topics - the topic shows up in search.
No posts exist inside this topic for the selected time frame.

For example, the 'Read Me' post for this topic...

http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=271663

Another example - search for "Tidy up Contact page" topic in General QUestions,
the start of thread shows a brief summary, if you click on it, you can't reach the original post, but a reply does come up. The original post was 2/12/09
the reply was 3/6/2009

Did the server upgrade lose a bunch of messages?

I can't confirm your issue. I have no problems viewing those posts.

Operator error :-[

I looked (honest!) in my account settings before putting up the original post, but missed the fact that my display options were set to 7 days. Doh!

Thanks Dave, your reply made me try a different browser - without logging in...
When that worked, it made me go look at my settings a bit more closely. <sigh> too many apps, too many settings to keep track of .....

In case anyone else can profit from this -

login -> user control panel -> board preferences -> edit display options->Display topics from previous days
and
Display posts from previous days
