Auto Logout - Backend

Post by mgumpher » Wed Apr 22, 2009 12:04 am

I know there's a way to stop the automatic log out after a period of inactivity. Its getting quite annoying, I write this big article and i go to press save and it throws me to the log in screen completely disregarding what i just typed. now don't school me on how to periodically save, i just want to know where to edit the code.

No code to edit. Just change the session time in Global Configuration.
But you'll have a peculiar problem. You'll find unbelievable number of guests if you're using a visitor counter.

Goto admin backend => global configuation => system => check on the right for sessions life time..increase them to 15000 or something..
