Hi,
I would like to know about the seo tools which can help me to detect what improvements in terms of seo are needed for my website....

there are many such website which provide seo tools but i want to know about the ones which suggests what improvements are needed.

There are some tools like SEO elite, IBP, etc. With these tools you can keep track of the progress of your site, you can check the rankings of your sites, and check the backlinks and they offer many more features.

Also, install Firefox & the Firebug extension, then get Yslow & SenSEO extensions as well.

yslow is not yet available for firefox 3.5. I will wait for new version

Basically what tools I want are those which suggest me where in seo I am going wrong and what is need to be corrected.

I never thought I would say this, but Hubspot's website grader is actually an interesting tool. I do not agree with everything on there (does anyone really believe that the Yahoo directory still passes on authority?), but it does give some good places to improve - especially for new web sites!

well i do not like yahoo search.
As far as I am concerned I think google is GOD of all search engines

Depending on my mood, I switch between Google, Yahoo, and lately Bing as well. Though I must admit my #1 search is scroogle.ORG (.com is NSFW!!!)

Scroogle is awesome - it searches Google and returns just the results, anonymously.

It also has a tendency to hit seemingly random Google servers, so your site can fluctuate a bit in keyword rank. It's neat to search a couple times in a row and note the range...

To be honest it is our tool but I'm so proud of it I feel I have to tell about it

It lets you test a page on your site targeting a keyword and it will give you back not only a result but pointers on what you can do to improve it.
