Joomla! San Diego

I'm interested in giving the San Diego Joomla community a shot in the arm and give this great CMS the attention it deserves in America's Finest City.

I've committed myself to seeking out a new location in central San Diego for meetings along with strapping an agenda together with some topics that are relevant to both experience Joomla! developers and newbies. Planned presentation topics include experiences with specific extensions along with deconstructions of Joomla! sites built by local talent.

If anyone has access to a conference room facility that will accommodate 30-50 people, it would be huge. Plenty of available parking is a must along with internet connectivity for at least one person. WiFi for the general attendance would be cool, but is not a deal breaker either way.

I have a projector and screen and am willing to bring and share, but a facility with those would be a plus.

So please, ask and check around. Joomla! is a strong and highly used platform worldwide and in San Diego. There have to be companies and facilities that are interested in supporting our community.

I've already started the hunt, but any help is appreciated. I will keep you posted.

I live in La Mesa and would certainly love to attend if it is condusted in San Diego. infact I will be in SD between Mar 15th to 22nd, if it is conducted during that time then count me in.

I've actually booked the San Diego Joomla Group in the meeting room in the Serra Mesa-Kearny Mesa Library for March 29th at 6:30pm. It's a great room and can accommodate up to 80 people.

We will be doing a site deconstruction followed by an open topic forum.
