joomla 1.5 and php compatibility

Hi all,

We have a live environment with php 5.2.6 and IIS 6.0 and a development environment with php 5.2.17 and iis 7.0. We will develop a new site with joomla 1.5. We would like to know if we will have any compatibilities issues, if we first develop the site in development environment and them we transfer it into live environment? How can be sure that the site will work in the two environments? Joomla 1.5 is more compatible with php 5.2.6 or with 5.2.17?

You can't be 100% sure because of the slight differences in releases and versions and your Dev and Prod are quite essentially different, but on the whole, if J! runs on one, it will run fine on the other too.
