Overriding default_item.php in com_content/views/featured/

Postby sim085 » Thu Aug 11, 2011 3:25 pm

Hello, I am trying to modify the default_item.php for my template. Therefore what I did is I created the directory structure /com_content/views/featured/ under my template html directory. Here I copied my modified version of default_item.php. I then tried my website and my changes where not applied. I have no problem overriding modules ... but com_content is giving me some trouble. Can anyone help me understand what I am doing wrong...

Stupid me :S

Found answer here:
http://docs.joomla.org/How_to_override_ ... omla!_core

The folder views should not be included... that is the featured directory must be under the com_content directory in the template html directory, and not under some views directory.
