3DXML Viewer for 1.6/1.7?

I'm looking for a plugin to allow site visitors to view examples of 3D models created in Solidworks. Solidworks can export a model in 3DXML format. Someone created a plugin for 1.5 http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... play/10565, but the project appears to be dead, and it doesn't work in Joomla 1.6/1.7.

Can anyone help me?

Did you test that plug-in extension in Joomla 1.5?
Does it work?
If it works it will probably not be that hard to convert it to Joomla 1.6/1.7.

Are you aware that to use this plug-in extension the user must install a special viewer/player?

That would seem to be a pretty big hurdle.
Is your audience likely to already have this viewer installed?

Yes, they're likely to have the viewer installed.

No, I haven't tested the 1.5 version as my site is a 1.7 site, but it's probably a smart thing to do. I'll install xampp and a 1.5 test site and see if it works.

If it does, what's needed to convert it to 1.6/1.7 compatibility?

I'm also interested in showing 3d models in my website. I wantedt o see if I can rewrite it for 1.7.
The website doesn't excist anymore, do you still have the file?
Or did you find another way of showing your solidworks files on your website?
