Joomla SEF Links

Post by kakenx » Sun Aug 11, 2013 9:41 pm

Hi,

I currently have a site that's displaying the links like:

http://www.example.com/the-news/1-latest-news/1-welcome-to-joomla

but I need them like:

http://www.example.com/the-news/latest-news/welcome-to-joomla

Without the numbers. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks!

I believe that the URL is coming from a Blog layout. One way would be to create individual menu items (need not publish them) for each of the articles. However, if the articles are in large numbers, then it may be difficult to manage the menu items.

Another way would be to review extensions available at http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... gement/sef.

Install sh404sef & use its URL Manager feature.

One way would be to create individual menu items (need not publish them) for each of the articles.
This would also show the secondary menu's alias, right? Unfortunately, that doesn't work well for my client.

Thanks! I will look into using some of the SEF extensions out there.
