Disable a welcome message on registration

Hi,

I have been trying to resolve this issue but i am unable to understand as to what the issue is ?

I am using joomla 2.5 and have been trying to disable the welcome email which comes along with the activation email to the user who tries to register into the website.

Can anyone help me out with this ? i am receiving the email which is like this :

to me
This is an Area for welcome and custom Message[/i]
