Plugin to mark if content has been read.

Post by Kjimn » Mon Jun 25, 2007 9:39 am

We have a couple of sections where we want people to be able to track whether something has been read or actioned rather like an email flagging system.

The requirement is for users to be able to individually flag whether an article in either the bulletins or memo section has been,

1. Read
2. Requires an action
3. Requires response to Caterforce
4. Has been read or actioned

Anyone have an idea if there is any plugin along these lines around at the moment.

Noone know if there's a plugin that does this?

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm looking for the same thing. Thanks.

No, there is no such thing like this.
I made a research about it the other day.

I think plugin is not sufficient - must be a component because the functionality requires changes in Joomla database (articles flaqs read/unread vs users).

Apologies for digging up an old post!

I am looking for something similar, i need users to be able to see when articles are unread and be able to tick a checkbox to say they have been read.

I have looked into the component fabrik, but i am a complete noob and that looks way too complicated for me.

Does anyone know of an easier way?

Cheers all!

I assume this is still open. It would be very good to have a system where the status of an article changes when a registered member has read it. This would be useful especially on sites with tons of content, so people could easily remember which articles they have read and which not.
