<svg> not accepted by standard Joomla Article Editor ??

Post by podvelde » Fri Jan 01, 2016 8:14 pm

I guess the title says it all. I'm trying to enter an SVG-diagram (Scalable Vector Graphics) as part of a Joomla-article (in raw html-mode of course).

The Article Editor consistently removes the <svg></svg> tag pair (and anything in between, afaia).

1. Am I doing something wrong (or is there something I don't understand) ??
2. Why is that (SVG tends to be a part of HTML5 as far as browsers are concerned) ?
3. What can I do about it ??

Hi there!

By default, for security reasons you can't add custom tags in the editor,
here we have some options to solve this:

Go to Extensions > Plugins > Editor - TinyMCE

From here, at the bottom you can add your valid or extended elements.

Other solution is using an extension like this one to place your code:

Cheers!
