File Storage Extension
Hi to all,
i would need a web interface (customers must allow to access only via browser) that allow customers to enter with an account and see and downloads directories and files, there must be the possibility for admin to set permissions for folders and files, is necessary also that the user has a reserved area where he can configure his information (name, email, ecc...). For better comprehension i can say that site must gives more focus on user than files. I hope that my english wasn't so terrible.
Thank you
Ps.
Before this question i have already looked for this type of template

Re: File Storage Template
I think what you're looking for is an extension called Docman. It should have all what you need.

Re: File Storage Extension
If you are thinking of using DocMan, just be aware that license that you agree to, is not GPL, in that using the 'GPL' software forces you into a 'services' agreement at the date of install, that they will bill you for, regardless of you using it or requiring the services.
I can go into detail with the facts, but all you need to do is read their license agreement carefully, only install it on 1 site, not many (as GPL normally allows) and you will have a happy relationship with them.
Install it on one more site, and they will automatically bill you on the next subscription for a license that you dont need (5 license multi product license) because they dont have a cheaper 5 docman license, they also require you to manually let them know if you do install it on another site, and they take money from your CC without your agreement, citing that you owe them under the license agreement, that is fro services, and not the software.
Their Terms of Service agreement is here. It is unparalleled in its approach to selling GPL software, and I believe all their software was unsubscribed from the Joomla Extensions site because it does actually breach GPL, possibly by design.
