You can enable slow query logging and try to find another issues at pagespeed insights and gtmetrix

the issue is in the core of joomla since 3.8.0 we have no issue in 3.7.5, i think there is a slow routine, who enabled by x 14k is dramatically slowing the site, not a lot of site can face that issue, but no one at joomla team seem to want to handle the issue, our page speed is already optimized, we can't do anything more. one more time we do not face the issue in 3.7.5

where the joomla guru who was so ironic in the previous thread ??? playing dig dug ?

What is your server configuration ? have you tried to optimize your server with nginx , opcache etc to make sure you speedup the webserver.

Then it seems that you are in shared hosting. Shared hosting has limit in the speed. A good vps with a good configuration can run your joomla website much much faster.

And why you don t have root access? how much do you pay? To understand what do you have in your host provider.

Then you have cloud server. Ask from your host to optimize your server to be much faster as i understand you have much articles-categories, etc.

ok opcache is already installed on the server, this morning i tested 3.8.3 still the same issue pagespeed load time of page who are not in cache went from 4.5 sec to 9 sec, unfortunately the restore in 3.7.5 failed, so i will have to stay in 3.8.3, i'm very disapointed,

cheers,

If you will install for example opcache it does n t mean that your server will be faster. But if you configure opcache properly for your server, it can be faster. That is an example, and there are many things to optimize your server and every server needs different configutation in many things. So you have a managed server, you pay for this, so you ask your host how they can optimize your server

already checked, all work fine, as also upgraded jot cache to last release as asked, i'm an old game coder, this look like, really like a routine or a sub program who is called on each article, and been called x 14.000 time on our side, so other blog or site DONT SAW the issue,

Do you say that the speed issue you saw it only in one joomla website? If so, is it the joomla website with the most articles?

So i believe more than any other time that you need to optimize your server to can handle a joomla website with so many articles and be faster that is now. Your joomla website is grow and i believe that you need different configuration in your cloud server to make your joomla faster. Please ask them to optimize your server. They are paid to do and this thing in your managed cloud server.

You can stay with this that you think. This is your server. This is your opinion. With a fast look that i saw i don t believe that your server is optimized, even you say that you have speed issue or not.

I heard about similar problems on local forum.
but problem is - only few people have such huge amount of articles.
so i guess you can post it on Github as issue with comparison 3.7.5 vs 3.8.3 performance.
