Joomla performance with Google lighthouse

Post by skouf » Mon May 21, 2018 4:36 pm

I have some issues by auditing my website with Lighthouse. It's inside the Google Inspector, "Audit" tab.

My website is on a server with PHP 7.1, Expire headers are set, a cache is working and I have manage Image compression provided by JCH

My score is still 6/100. It's 71/100 with Pagespeed Insights

The problem I detect is that a lot of JS / CSS files are loaded even is some component are not in use. Like Hikashop, Droppics....
So I want to remove these files with https://joomla-extensions.kubik-rubik.d ... ss-control but the page display is awful after activating this plugin.

Anyway, what can I do with Joomla ? Joomla is a CMS and I cannot control the way he calls javascript and CSS files.

How can I control files that are loaded inside a specific page ? Is it the job of the developer or mine ?

Thanks if anyone have some informations to share !

I learnt this from a developer who I remember only his first name was Kristian,
in index.php of your template you may add this line:
I have never tried this myself, may be it works for you
