Developing a mobile app with Calendar/Events from Joomla component/module

I am in the midst of creating a mobile app for our college.
It is populated with article content from our Joomla website via endpoint APIs.

However, I need some guidance/advice regarding creating calendar and events.
I use RSEvents Pro which has no API plugin.

Has anyone had any luck developing a mobile app which uses content from a calendar/event component from their Joomla website?
