System - Language Filter plugin only when Topic is solved

Hi guys,

"System - Language Filter" plugin:
"This plugin is to be enabled only when the Language Switcher module is published"

As far as you know, Is there any expected issue if I disable the Language Switcher and I forget enabled this plugin in a single default language joomla site ?

If the site is a monolingual site, the plugin "System - Language Filter" must be disabled. Otherwise, the language code would be added to the URL.

Use of the module "Language Switcher" does not serve any purpose in a monolingual site. So, Disable it.

Monolingual site:
- module Language Switcher: Disabled
- plugin System - Language Filter: Enabled

As far as I see I'm not experiencing any evident issues, this is why I'm asking:
- "...must be disabled. Otherwise, the language code would be added to the URL..." - Please, Do you have more details ?

For a monolingual site, if the plug-in "System - Language Filter" is Enabled, the URL Language Code that belongs to the first selected Content Language that is in the Published state would be added to the URL.

For example:

(a) If the plug-in "System - Language Filter" is Disabled (must be the default for a monolingual site)

http://localhost/joomla_39_4_test/index.php


(b) If the plug-in "System - Language Filter" is Enabled

http://localhost/joomla_39_4_test/index.php?lang=en


Notice the language code added at the URL (ie ?lang=en)

thanks for the explanation, too appreciated...

Maybe I never noted / encountered any issue for that reason, by default I use SEF Url and the modern URL routing / Remove IDs from URLs
