- Setup an article for home page and set it as featured
- Edited homepage article, changes wouldn't show up
- Cleared cache, expired cache and even browser data
- Copied and pasted contents into a new article and set new article as featured.
- The new article appears below the original article on the home page.
- Deleted original article
- Emptied trash
- The original article is appearing nowhere in the back end, not featured article listing, not article listing, not trashed article listing.
- Changed main menu home page from display featured articles to display the new article as a single article
- Ran Akeeba tools to Fix Permissions, Repair & Optimise Tables and Purge Sessions
- Cleared cache, expired cache and even browser data once again.
- The original article still appears on the homepage!
- When logged in as superuser on the front end, other articles all have the edit button, except the original article.

Which template and framework does your site use? Is that template uptodate, in other words, does it support
the latest versions of Joomla and PHP 7? Those questions are essential because a search for 'joomla template tty04' does not produce meaningful hits.

Does your template framework perhaps have its own caching system?

Check if the template has an override folder - templates/tty04/html - and if it has, does that folder contain override files, which could explain the odd behaviour of the home page?
