sorting articles by alias in article manager

Hi, would like to sort articles by alias in article manager. There are many sort criteria, but is it possible to make this one available? any scripts, etc.?
We have a multi lingual site and associated articles (with titles in different languages) are scattered in the manager window. Would like to sort so that the associated articles arrange together for easier editing. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help.

This is not possible in default Joomla and you need to create an override in the template's com_content. See this forum post which might help you. viewtopic.php?t=652702#p2606914 (instead of bluestork read "your templatename")

thank you very much for this, still not working for me. I am using Hathor, found the line of code, made the changes, refreshed and emptied cache, but still is not giving me the sort by alias or an alias column. BUT will keep working on it, tks again for your reply and appreciate the help

tks again, have it working now in Hathor template, but when using the same method (add directories and adding a default.php file) using isis template, the filter dropdowns become vertical and get mixed with the column sorting text. Trying to find where the sort grid is defined in isis, tks for your help.
where is the best place to suggest this as a default feature?
