Hi guys, would be eternally grateful if anyone can help. I changed the PHP version from 5.5 to 7.1 today on the hosting control panel

My website https://www.rooffinial.co.uk was working fine this morning using PHP 5.5 but after changing the PHP version to 7.1 I am receiving the error message on the front and back end

Session path writable = no this must be yes,ask your host to fix this.
Much of the site is out of date,update all your extensions,then joomla and then try again with the php upgrade,aim for php7.2.x or higher.
Note not all extensions use the joomla update system so you will have to check them manually.

Thanks for the reply, I followed up with the hosting company and they checked it over and ultimately I restored the site from backup to get it working again. I am not sure exactly went wrong

Do you have the site now working on PHP7.1? As mentioned by gws: Keep your Joomla site up-to-date. Treat it as your baby and maintain it properly! Outdated extensions are often a security risk as well and I am pretty sure you do not want to get hacked do you?
