Access based on seniority
Dear All,
I'm writing again in this forum after many years while I stopped using joomla. I had a look for on the existing threads, but I didn't find any suggestion to figure out my question.
Simple question: I would like that registered users can see only the contents (articles, menu, etc.) posted/created after their registration. If user_1 is registered in August 2019, he can see the contents of August, September and the following months.
Should I develop a module from scratch or already exists a workaround/extension to put in place this criteria?
Thanks in advance for your support,
E.

Re: Access based on seniority
Thanks a lot Leo.
Does it mean that I should use a third-party extension (such as jumi) to execute PHP code in the article in order to retrieve the {$user->registerDate}?
https://docs.joomla.org/Accessing_the_c ... ser_object
Mmm, I can try, but I doubt that it can work? 2 third-party extension that need to share a system variable in a "content environment"? I'll let you know if I'll "risk" to buy (25 euros) the extension that you suggested (20$)
The condition should be something like this
{show user=”user_1” and date>”2019-08-01”}

Re: Access based on seniority
Ask the developer of the extension if that (or otherwise 'how') can be achieved with their extension.

Re: Access based on seniority
Thanks for your replies.
Just to share my selection, I'm using Content-Access-Filter, and it works very well, matching 95% of my requirements.
As per forum rules, I'm not sure I can share the link of the extension.
Thanks everyone.

Re: Access based on seniority
There shouldn't been any contravention of rule if you were to share the extension link fro the extensions directory for example - that would be relevant to the post, and to the forum.
