Webhosts comparisons

Post by lotusmoon » Fri May 21, 2021 12:28 pm

I have just moved my website to hostinger a lot of the review websites say that they're quite good. But my guess is that they are paid to say that. Since then I've been reading quite a lot of iffy reviews. I thought this would be a good place to get some kind of genuine feedback on what this host is like. I was originally going to go with hose gater as I've been with them before and they seemed good but all the reviews were saying hostinger was better. Any thoughts or feedback on this would be useful. Thank you in advance for any info.

Webd I checked ionos but could only see irrelevant b-sh info there not comparing the important features comparision you have to do when choosing a powerful webhost.

Do you have any comparision page there at ionos that you can analyse?

Cheers!

I am still a very satisfied Rochenhost user. Good modern hosting, fair price and superb support.

@Takeshis - this many "review" sites are most "bought" done by affiliate hosting promoters!

Yes you have to be aware of Hosts that have 'reseller packages' from Hosts that are 'Tag holders'. Best go to Hosts that are 'Tag holders'.

Yes better these bad hosters step up and be good Joomla hoster which they are not.

There are much better Joomla hosters (mostly smaller hosters) just go to their web page and you see if there is any Joomla focus or not.

https://www.wpcrafter.com/review/bluehost/
It has been my experience that Bluehost is a hosting company you would do well to avoid. It’s hard to say that, but its the truth. The main problems are extremely slow page load time and serious security issues. Don’t be surprised of your website is shut down because it was hacked into, and then Bluehost will ask you for $300 to fix it. The thing is, it’s their servers that are insecure.

Now part of the problem is that there are so many so called guru’s that recommend them, but they don’t personally use them. The only reason they do that is because they are paid a lot of money.

Somehow Bluehost has become one of the top web hosting services, but don’t fall for the glowing recommendations. It baffles me that bloggers continuously heap praise on Bluehost and enthusiastically recommend it. I’m I missing something? My one year of using Bluehost was marked by one problem or frustration after another. I don’t even know where to begin to describe the incompetence of this company.

After dealing with endless technical problems and impersonal customer service, I canceled my subscription. I’m writing this Bluehost review to save you from making the same mistake I did. I’ll break down why Bluehost is a terrible web host for your blog and show you better options for web hosting.

In some cases, clicking on a simple link would have been enough for Paulos Yibelo, a well-known and respected bug hunter, to take over the accounts of anyone using five large hosting providers — Bluehost, DreamHost, Hostgator, OVH and iPage.

You should try and compare the existing web hosting services. When you try and compare, you will know which one is better. Usually, the more expensive the hosting, the better the performance results.

Usually, the more expensive the hosting, the better the performance results.
And go for at least 1,5-2 GB memory set up for your Joomla site it will perform well.

One another way is to hire a VPS server with a couple of friends. It is a bit expensive (just a little bit) but very comfortable. I have been using this solution for 10 years and very much glad.
