Best Search Extension?

I have used Universal Ajax Search for many years and have been happy with it.

I reached out to see when it would be J4 compatible and was told that it is not something that is in the works and may not happen.

Does anyone have an extension that is polished from a UI perspective with images in the search results, etc. like Universal Ajax Search currently has.

It's disappointing to hear that this may not end up being supported in J4.

Have you tried the Joomla's built in Smart Search.
It is really a powerful search functionality.

Btw. You can use images in Smart Search results through template overrides.

Universal Ajax Search is an open source extension released under GPL. It can be made to work on J4, provided there is enough interest . But it's not even compatible with J3 so that would be a lot of work .
