Hidden Store Link

Hi guys, I work as a freelancer, and I have my main webpage which I use as a portfolio and to send to clients. However, what I would like to do is explore the indie side of things, with smaller budgets. I would like to set up a webstore offering my services at a discounted rate. However, I would like to keep this separate from my main webpage, and send it out to only select people, not to mainstream clients.

So for example, if my webpage is 'www.mysite.com', I would like to send a link like 'www.indies.mysite.com', or 'www.mysite.com/indies' that would take people to the shop. What would be the best, and most straight forward way to achieve this?

I am using EShop as my webshop.

I would like to avoid setting up a whole separate Joomla site to achieve this, and wondered if it's possible to do this using the same website and hidden menus maybe?

You could create a user group only for the store and only add the users you want to see the store to the group.

And have a child menu item under the Home menu item. Make sure the child is last in the list under home and set it to the specific user group.

Thank you for the replies. That could work. The only thing is, it would be nice to be able to send people a link to view the store before registering. In conjunction with user levels, I could then have a hidden menu that is set to a hidden article that shows the store, that way I can send them a link to take a look at the services and decide if they want to register or login, and then switch to a duplicate menu that displays once registered.
