Heh, yes. I already don't like when people say OpenSource and just pretend to mean FreeSoftware. But these guys are about proprietary and call it OpenSource... Buzzwords gone bad I'd say

Re: DIOSCUSSION: Paid Memberships or Subscriptions in Joomla!!
i wish I had seen this post a month ago. I ordered joomlapal, two days later I was emailed and asked which domain it would beu sed on and which version of joomla and CB I was using, I replied and have heard nothing since. I have sent numerous emails and no response.dropbombz wrote: Just a reminder to NOT USE JOOMLA PAL !!
They stole my money
Never gave me a download, ever
Don't respond to emails
Don't have a working phone #.
Still haven't refunded my money, for a download I never once have seen or been able to click.
This is appauling.
Anyone have any idea how I can get my money back?

I REALLY want the author of the corresponding FAQ. I have even pmed him two times and he still won't change it. Its not about "some like it, some don't", its about lots of people being literally scammed over a bad product.
AcctExp will be released soon (Helder said within about a week). After that release we will work on CB integration.

Re: DISCUSSION: Paid Memberships or Subscriptions in Joomla!!
I can't see a problem with AEC working together with 1.0.10
Head over to http://www.globalnerd.org/
We are currently preparing our joined presence there - I added the ready-hacked files to the Downloads section. So you can use the readyhacked 1.0.9-1.0.10 update to be absolutely sure.
We will soon start handling registration on our site with our own component - So, SimonFinch, that is where you could help us out, as we soon make this ready, you can subscribe to our site to do that.
I will offer refunds for everybody who has already donated me money, if you choose to subscribe to the new website, just drop me a mail and I will issue it.
little teaser for the coming version attached - detailed subscription overviews for your users! And finally adequate renewing functions!

Re: DISCUSSION: Paid Memberships or Subscriptions in Joomla!!
Thanks DRP. As David said, a new version is about to come with a lot of enhancements. The component will continue to be available for free at joomla forge. You subscribe on globalnerd.org to have faster support, good documentation, and future advanced features and addons to the component. And mainly, to support us doing this extra work! This site is being maintained by David and me.
Besides globalnerd.org, donations to main project at forge are still accepted and will be shared with all active developers/contributors to the project. I have David doing hard work now, and educ is coming to help us with the core development.

Re: DISCUSSION: Paid Memberships or Subscriptions in Joomla!!
Have you had a previous version of AcctExp installed before? Did you uninstall it cleanly?
Did you get any errors when installing the new one?
Are your folder permissions correctly set? I had an issue when installing it because my /media folder was not set to the right permission.
And yes, I fear that this is a personal problem with your site, something prevented that your classes are correctly installed... I guess that this is something that also screws up other things...

Have you enabled gateways? Have you assigned gateways to this plan?
AcctExp is optimized for Firefox btw (it also has stepmotherly support for IE).

The admin.acctexp.php file you're referencing for is from AEC v0.6.0. Somehow, your files seems not to have been erased when you uninstall the old version.
I suggest you uninstall it again and go to see if the com_acctexp directories (frontend and backend) was deleted. If not, this should be a permission problem, remove them manually.
Thanks for your support!
