The only thing I could come up with that I like is Enso, so something on that theme like Enso, Enso CMS, Enso Server, Enso Framework etc.

Enso is the Japanese word for circle.  A circle painted in a single brushstroke is a Zen symbol of the true nature of existence and enlightenment.

Enso is a central theme of Zen art. It represents infinity, simplicity, strength.

MYCELIUM, it's the underground network from which funghi grow. (or, like the dictionary says: a network of fine white filaments (hyphae) constituting the vegetative part of a fungus.) It's a good metaphore for a community & network  based application.

OK, there is one website i was planning to promote and use as portfolio site, but never actually made it happen. I use it mainly because of email. I can surrender it to the cause. So suggestion would be

There is certain filosophy you can build on that name. Originally i was planning to describe it as WEBSITE POINT, Something like the point where websites are born or mambo jambo like that. Anyways, now it is maybe true.

The name needs to fill all that Masterchief suggests, but also should be reminicent of Mambo so that we can take the community with us.. If the name changes too much we will loose the heritige of Mambo..

So, how about "Tambo" "Mambe" "Mamba" (think of all the snake imagery!) or "Fambo".

I am curious where you are doing your research on the African words. I was helping name another company a few years ago and we were interested in finding an African word with an interesting sound and meaning. We were not very successful in our research.
What is your source?
