The drafting of this User Manual is near completion!
A number of people have contributed to producing this manual. In particular, David Maggiano for drafting Chapters 3 & 4, Paul Brannon, Chris Campion and Andy for proof reading. Ross Carrell, my partner at http://www.websdezined.com, who kept an eye on me throughout the process, other members of the Joomla! Documentation Team, Anna's Joomla Tips and many more.
To all of you, many thanks.
We have three proof readers working on it at the moment to ensure:
Clarity: To reduce the amount of technical jargon and produce clear, concise information.
Consistency: To standardize the written material so that all Joomla! Documentation is consistent in style and tone.
Correctness: To produce high-quality documentation devoid of spelling, grammar, punctuation, or usage errors.
Consideration: To make the content accessible and understandable to all people, including those from different parts of the world where English is not their native language, those with disabilities, and people from various backgrounds and cultures.
The User Manual is aimed at all levels of user, from Author to Super Administrator. It contains all Frontend and Backend functions.
The objectives of this User Manual are to:
- Help you to install and configure Joomla!
- Describe the various types of Users and what their access permissions are.
- Provide detailed instructions for both Front End and Back End inputting and site management.
At this time I will start working on a road map for future User Manual content.
