Is Miro deleting moderators from Mambo Forum?

Post by kenmcd » Thu Aug 18, 2005 3:18 am

tjay's moderator status disappeared.
http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread ... post273757

My moderator status was also apparently removed for adding links to OpenSourceMatters.

Seems to me they are acting out against everyone that has made a difference in the mambo community. I do not understand what they think they are going to gain by doing this.

It seems as if this is nothing short of a coup by Miro for control over the Mambo source code. I guess they think they don't need the Core Devs to make it happen.

I also do believe they may be using the rules Brad set up to silence dissent. (but I could be wrong)..

Remember, we've had a no negative feedback loop / commercial disagreement policy on the Mambo forum for a while now, and this does fall under the realm of both commercial disagreement and negative feedback to Miro staff.

Brad had his account deleted by the Miro folks.  Not just admin privileges gone, but the entire account.

Elpie was banned for posting 6 times about this new forum.

I'm bracing for being banned for responding to those 6 posts.

"We care about the community" they said.

Yeah Right, I say.

Looks like Brad was banned too :)

Maybe I should become the second member of the 3PD S&G team to get banned

Easy as...  post in every forum about the "news", dont' say anything negative, be nice about it.  But beware, you'll go PLOP and disappear...

I kinda wonder how long it is until they start banning people by IP at the firewall.

It's happening...  something's seriously messed up...  Someone else sharing my DSL through our LAN got logged in as my newly created account (to point out I'd been banned).  So they are cookie'ing by IP, not browser, or something...

It looks like they are actually having server problems. I tried to traceroute from my servers but was unable to get through.

After Miro wiped my account and banned me from their forums, most of my posts went too.
However, at least one has still remained so it looks like they are not picking up on everything that contains the links to this site.

http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread ... post273937

As you can see, it was on topic and totally relevant, as were the other few posts.  I'm actually feeling pretty peeved at being banned for the first (and probably last) time ever.  And I wasn't even a frequent poster let alone a moderator!

I posted in mambo forum to find out who is developing in Mambo now, if anyone had any information and some people responded to other issues, apparently an argument and all of a sudden all their posts wre gone, mine's still there.

I guess I'll ask here, who is developing at Mambo. Has the Dev Team quit doing it?

Thanks for any info.
